The German composer pens a brief note of thanks on his visiting card. Because his name is printed Prof. Dr. Max Bruch, the card must date to or after 1893, the year Cambridge University awarded him an honorary doctorate.

Sold together with the autographed carte de visite of Bruch's daughter, Margarete, dated January 10, 1911, with a brief note of regret to a Mrs. Abell that she is otherwise engaged on a day in question.
