An excellent example of the noted American organist-composer's signature, nicely matted with a pristine original cabinet photograph.
Connecticut-born organist Dudley Buck, who was also known as a composer and author, studied with Ignaz Moscheles and Moritz Hauptmann at the Leipzig Conservatory before accepting a string of organist positions in Hartford, Chicago, and Boston. He then moved to New York City to assist Theodore Thomas. In 1877 he became organist of Holy Trinity Church in Brooklyn, a post he would hold for 25 years.
