An album leaf signed by violinists Joseph Joachim and Wilma Hallé (Neruda) and by pianists Charles Hallé and Fanny Davies. Additionally signed by violinist Mischa Elman at bottom and by flutist Edward de Jong on verso.

Joachim, the Hallés, and Fanny Davies were close friends and colleagues who often performed chamber music together. They were regular fixtures, both in ensembles and as soloists, at the enormously successful Monday and Saturday Popular Concert series at London's St. James' Hall.

It is nice -- and quite scarce -- to see these signatures on the same page. Mischa Elman must have delighted at adding his name to such a grouping.

On the verso is the signature of flutist Edward de Jong, principal of the Hallé Orchestra and thought to be the first to have made a recording of the instrument.
