Librairie de l'Art: Paris, 1892. first edition. 16mo. 459 pp. Frontispiece of 12 composer portraits; 32 facsimiles of letters and musical examples throughout. 3/4 leather with black calf boards. Overall fair; internally clean and tight. Boards with some rubbing and wear; front board beginning to detach. Leather missing from backstrip and exposing newspaper beneath. Inscription of recipient also on half-title page.
