Three-quarter leather with original marbled boards. Gilt decorative compartments at spine. Marbled fore edges. Edges of bindings a little shelf worn and one volume rubbed on cover. One folding plate with tape repair. Internally fine otherwise, though, and overall a very attractive set.
Volumes 1-9 were first issued by E.W. Fritzsch between 1871 and 1873, with volume 10 appearing in 1883.
