Burgmüller, Friedrich (1806-1874)

École Primaire du Jeune Pianiste. Méthode Élémentaire, Théorique et Pratique du Piano. En Trois Parties.

B. Schott: Mayence, c 1840. Pl.n: 5354; 5355; 5596.3. Oblong small quarto. 71 pp. Title page vignette of children at a piano. Cloth spine with marbled paper boards. A very good copy. Occasional pencil markings (mostly fingerings). Part 1 with soiled title page and some light foxing throughout. Parts 2 & 3 crisp and clean. Boards worn at edges and corners.
A charming little method for the young pianist, with a lovely vignette showing two children playing duets at a piano.
