Spine heavily chipped; boards scuffed. Some foxing and bleedthrough, but otherwise clean.Graun's oratorio Der Tod Jesu was the most frequently performed Passion in eighteenth-century Germany. Its popularity helped Graun to become a public figure beyond the Berlin court, where he served as Kapellmeister from 1741.
