An original glossy black-and-white photograph of the Austrian conductor, shown conducting. Signed and inscribed to a Jim Feeg in the bottom white margin.
Karl Böhm was among the foremost conductors of the twentieth century, regularly leading performances at the Metropolitan Opera, La Scala, and Vienna State Opera as well as at the Bayreuth and Salzburg Festivals. He was also entrusted with a number of important first performances of Richard Strauss' music: the world premieres of Die schweigsame Frau and Daphne and the Metropolitan Opera premieres of Ariadne auf Naxos and Die Frau ohne Schatten.
