A color photo-mechanical print, being a caricature of the composer from a 1902 series which appeared in l'Assiette au Beurre, the famous satirical Parisian magazine. On the verso is a portrait of the composer Charles Lecoq.

Aroun-al-Rascid is the pseudonym of the Italian artist Umberto Brunelleschi (1879-1949), who was a book illustrator and costume designer.
