c. 1634. Total size in mat: 8" h x 9" w (20.5 cm x 23 cm). Total size of print: 3" h x 4" w (8 cm x 10 cm). In good condition. Laid down on reinforcing paper. Trimmed inside plate edge. Background of image a bit faded.This unidentified seventeenth-century etching (attributed by some to French printmaker Jacques Callot) shows a trombonist playing outside in a decorative wooden chair as several revelers enjoy themselves behind him. In the far distance the faint outline of a castle can be seen.
